Living OM: The home of ‘Dynamic Yoga’
‘Dynamic Yoga’ is a modern approach to the ancient philosophies of Yoga and the physical practice of Yoga Asanas (poses). We have developed our Dynamic Yoga programs based primarily on Hatha Yoga in the Vinyasa style, which in western culture is also popular by the names of Ashtanga, Bikram or Power Yoga. Translation wise ‘vinyasa’ means ‘to place’ or ‘to arrange’ in a particular way. It can also be simplified as ‘flow’. In Dynamic Yoga we carefully arrange the sequence of postures and move from one pose to the next with the breath, resulting in a smooth and flowing class. Throughout the class we often use the popular ‘salute to the sun’(surya namaskara) sequence, to transition between each of the postures. Deep relaxation is included at the conclusion of each class to allow the body to fully integrate the benefits of the practice.
Dynamic Yoga is heart-orientated, spiritually inspiring, yet grounded in a deep knowledge of optimal body alignment in the poses. Our instructors encourage students to listen to their body, respect it’s wisdom, and to progress at their own pace.
Classes will be offered in both a heated and non-heated environment. The additional benefits of heated yoga include:

|Dynamic YogaThese classes are based on the same Dynamic Basics flow with an extra energy charge! This class is ideal for intermediate Yogi’s, challenge seekers and beyond. Take your poses to the next level by incorporating binds & extensions to the poses you have already mastered! Learn new poses and incorporate Ujjayi breathing & presence into your practice.|
|Dynamic BasicsA flowing practice of Vinyasa Yoga integrating mind, body, breath & movement. This class is ideal for first time Yogi’s who have a reasonable level of general health and fitness – through to experienced Yogi’s who will have the option to adopt more advanced poses throughout the sequence. Focus will be on the correct postural alignment and breath.|
|Gentle YogaThis class is designed for those wishing for a more subtle style of Yoga. Ideal for absolute beginner Yogi’s, those a little less agile or recovering from injury. This is more a follow-the-leader class format with various modifications offered to increase/decrease the intensity or both the individual poses. Breathing techniques will also be covered.|
|Dynamic Juniors: 5-8 yearsA fun and engaging Yoga program designed with little Yogi’s in mind. Dynamic Kids Yoga is made up of series of poses based on animals & activities that children can relate to & allows them the freedom to explore movement & sound. Classes include postures, breathing techniques, Yoga games or stories, meditation or visualisation and affirmations.Click here for list of benefits…|
|Dynamic Pre-Teens: 9-12 yearsTakes ‘Dynamic Kids’ poses to the next level and introduces more complex poses and sequences. Classes are designed to improve focus, concentration and balance whilst building self esteem & promoting physical wellbeing. This class is suitable for those just beginning their Yoga journey or those who have already mastered Dynamic Juniors.|
|Dynamic Teens: 13-16 yearsThis program is predominately based on the ‘Dynamic Basics’ program for adults, with a focus on building a positive mindset and introducing new techniques to deal with the additional stresses of emerging adulthood. This class will concentrate on refining postural alignment & breath. This class develops focus, power and balance in mind and body!|
The Freestyle Vinyasa class is similar to the Dynamic Basics class flow however is usually a slower, more gentle class, holding the poses for a little longer. Beate usually runs the class and picks a theme for the class each week so each class is more varied than our Dynamic classes.
The class is suitable for new yogi’s and beyond & is a non-heated class.
